Fill text fields, checkboxes and dropdowns

In-browser

Drop your PDF form here

or click to browse · PDF forms with fillable fields

Form fields are read and written entirely in your browser with pdf-lib. No file is uploaded to any server.

What does the Fill PDF Form tool do?

The FreePDF Fill PDF Form tool reads the form fields embedded in your PDF — text fields, checkboxes and dropdowns — and lets you fill them in directly, then download the completed document.

Filling happens in your browser with pdf-lib. Your form data is never transmitted anywhere.

How to fill pdf form

  1. 1
    Add your PDF form

Drag and drop a PDF that has fillable form fields (AcroForm).

  2. 2
    Fill in the fields

Text fields become inputs, checkboxes become toggles, dropdowns become selects.

  3. 3
    Click Download

pdf-lib writes your values into the form in your browser. Optionally flatten the form so values can't be edited.

  4. 4
    Save the completed PDF

Download the filled document. No watermarks, no account.

What FreePDF Fill PDF Form can do

  • Fills text fields, checkboxes and dropdowns
  • Optional flattening locks the values into the page
  • Keeps the original form appearance
  • Works entirely in your browser — no file uploads

Privacy — your files stay on your device

Fill PDF Form runs entirely inside your browser using pdf-lib and PDF.js (Mozilla) — open-source, audited libraries with millions of users. Your files are loaded into browser memory, processed on your CPU, and written back out as a direct download. Nothing is sent to any server — you can verify this in your browser devtools → Network tab. Close the tab and everything is cleared from memory.
